According to my traffic logs, I recently was the recipient of an extended visit from someone at the FDIC. I've had earlier visits from the office of a US Senator and from the Federal Reserve.

Meh, it happens. I used to get a lot of visits from the PA Turnpike Commission despite never writing about them (except for maybe mentioning that I drove the turnpike to work at 100mph every day for 3 months without ever getting pulled over).
lol. I write plenty about DC so I get lots of hits from DOJ, House and Senate IP addresses. Mostly I think they're browsing my restaurant reviews or cheap things to do around DC.
